🌟 Our New School Council! 🌟🗳️
We are so excited to introduce our newly elected School Council at Bredgar! 💙
Our children have embraced the opportunity to have their voices heard, with representatives elected by their classmates. This is a wonderful way for our pupils to experience democracy in action, developing an understanding of how people can have a voice, share ideas, listen to others and work together to make positive changes. This directly supports our work around the British Values, particularly democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law, and mutual respect and tolerance.
The School Council have already been busy planning for an exciting year ahead! They have lots of ideas for activities, events and ways they can make a difference across our school.
🏛️ Coming up, our Year 4, 5 and 6 representatives are also looking forward to planning their visit to the Houses of Parliament, where they will have the opportunity to see democracy and our parliamentary system in action and build on their understanding of how decisions are made.
🌳 The children are particularly keen to help us continue developing our outdoor environment, sharing ideas about how we can make our outside spaces even more exciting, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
🌱 And there is another very important mission on their list… bringing back the Mustard Seed Awards! We can't wait to see what they come up with!
We are incredibly proud of our new School Council and can't wait to see the ideas, leadership and positive changes they bring to Bredgar this year.
